I can help you by leading design and collaboratively defining the best strategy for your product. I draw on research and data to design experiences with the best chance of success.
I’ve been designing products since 2004 for brands like the BBC, Twitter, British Airways, Jaguar, Bentley, Visa, Pearsons, Hertz, Celtic FC, Citi Bank, the Department Of Health and more.
What I offer
Help you define the right strategy for your product.
Hands on product design and design leadership.
Research to help you understand your users better.
Collaborate with your cross functional team to help you work better.
My Process
Define
Understand the problem, research & prioritisation
The more you understand the challenge the easier it’ll be to find a great solution.
Talk to users, and learn about other products doing similar things.
Use this to help work out the best step forwards and build hypothesis that we can learn from.
Create
Design collaboratively
Being a good designer is table stakes. From feedback my strength is how I collaborate with my cross functional team to make sure I get input from
everyone involved.
Multiple kinds of design are needed, such as; disposable proof of concepts, prototypes for research, exciting future vision pieces and detailed finalised designs for engineers.
Don't Stop
Learnings & ongoing product development
For me, one of the most satisfying parts of the job is when you have a live product that you can learn from and make measurable improvements to.
It’s great when you identify a big new feature opportunity, but working with the team to find tweaks that may make make big impacts is equally satisfying.
Parenthood
I’ve got two kids and they are my top priority in life. I love my profession, but I ensure sure I have a healthy work / life balance to make sure that I can be there for them.
